Envases UK is a manufacturing company that has been operating out of
Port Talbot since 1993 which has experienced steady and sustained growth based
on a combination of global blue chip and smaller bespoke customer bases. Envases UK is part of
the Envases group, which also incorporates a sister Company in Bilbao, Spain.
The site at Port Talbot is a "state of the art" facility in which
Envases manufactures aluminum aerosol containers that are used in Personal
care, healthcare and pharmaceutical products. Envases strives for excellence in
its operations and support functions in order to service the core Blue Chip
customers that form a significant portion of its business. The role of Trainee
MAC Operator has been newly created to support business growth and succession
planning.

· Interpretation of artwork needs for printing process
· Communicate with customers to achieve approval
· Control the storage of lithographic materials for use by the Production Department
· Prepare print boxes and issue printing instructions for use by the Production Department
· Manufacture print plates
· Prepare print boxes for production
Once signed off as competent the responsibilities below will form part of a MAC Operator role (list not exhaustive)
· Check artwork on computer using multiple design software
· Uploading/downloading artwork onto FTP sites
· Uploading/downloading proofs onto multiple customer systems
· Inputting formulas onto technical sheets for production
· Ordering print plate material and necessary materials when required for the department
· Housekeeping of artwork on computer
· Housekeeping of digital plates when damaged or marked during production
· Checking weekly forward schedule and daily schedule for new products
· Log storage of proofing samples and artwork until approved by customer
· Send information regarding print plates requirement, colors and cost to customers for approval prior to proceeding with origination
· Ensure proofer has all relevant material
· Discuss and prepare all trial artwork jobs with Pre-Press Manager and Lead Printer
